Comments - rules and guidelines

Sorted provides these comments for the use of My Plan members.

The comments are intended to be a way for members to share and exchange their ideas, learnings and experiences on personal finance issues.

Sorted is not responsible for any of the opinions expressed in the comments.

Comments are reviewed by Sorted staff before they are published and we reserve the right to edit or withhold publication of any comment, and to remove member access rights to the comments where necessary. See Moderation below for more information.

We also reserve the right to remove or edit any comment once it has been published.

8 rules for Sorted comments

We will not publish your comment if:

  1. Your comment is unrelated to the information on Sorted or the topic under discussion.
  2. Your comment includes swearing or obscene, derogatory or vulgar remarks.
  3. Your comment is libellous, condones illegal activity or contains information which might affect the outcome of an approaching court case.
  4. Your comment contains personal information - addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or other online contact details - either relating to yourself or other individuals.
  5. Your comment has already been posted on Sorted.
  6. Your comment advertises specific products or services.
  7. Your comment impersonates or falsely claims to represent a person or organisation.
  8. Your comment breaches copyright.

Moderation

If a comment contravenes the above rules it will not be published, or it will be removed after publication.

Comments may be returned to you by email, along with a reference to the broken rule(s). You will be invited to make appropriate changes in order that the comment can be reconsidered. However, if your comments repeatedly break the rules your user access to the comments will be revoked.

Privacy

Sorted will not display any of your personal information in the comments, apart from your comments username.

Usage

Your comments may be used by Sorted as part of our research and promotion, and we reserve the right to copy or quote them here on Sorted or in other media.

These Guidelines may be changed or updated without notice.

Glossary: comments
Comments allow Sorted users to add their thoughts or start discussions about Sorted content. Comments can be seen by all Sorted users, and all users can post or reply to comments. My Plan members can specify a nickname they want to use on all comments, and don't need to fill in user details on the submission form every time they post a comment.
