Keri was devastated when her marriage of 27 years broke up. However, when the farm and some other investments were sold and the proceeds divided, she found herself quite a wealthy woman.

Keri thought that she would never have another serious relationship – but her friends were more realistic. They persuaded her to take some advice so her wealth would be protected against the failure of a future relationship.

Keri decided to put all of her assets into a family trust. That way her assets would not be able to be claimed by a future partner.
