Marcia made her own lunch and saved a packet

Marcia is doing it tough financially. Money just seems to slip through her hands and she feels like she’s never got much to show for it so she decides to do a budget.

She works through what she spends on the Budget calculator. As soon as she’s finished, the fact that she’s spending nearly $10 a day on lunch jumps out at her, as does the fact that birthday presents for her large family are adding up to $40 a month.

Marcia bites the bullet and starts making her own lunch. She also sends cards instead of presents to family members she’s not so close to. With these two changes alone Marcia manages to save $150 a month!
