Bank loans and student packages
Most banks offer interest-free overdrafts and discounted account fees to students. Your income will have to be credited to that account to qualify. It pays to shop around for the best student package available.
Student discounts
Your student i.d. card could entitle you to discounts on buses, retail stores, hairdressers, restaurants etc.
Community Services Card
With a Community Services Card you'll pay less on doctors' fees and prescriptions. Find out more on the Work and Income website.
Money paid in return for the use of money. If the bank is using your money (in a savings account) they pay you interest. If you are using the bank's money (via a loan), you pay the bank money.
