By viewing and using Sorted you are deemed to agree to the following conditions of use.
The Commission for Financial Literacy and Retirement Income hopes Sorted will help you to make better informed decisions about how best to manage your finances and to plan for your future.
Sorted information and calculators should not be your only source of information when you are making financial decisions. They should be treated as a guide only. Use Sorted as a starting point and then seek professional advice.
We've made every effort to ensure that Sorted's information and calculators are reliable and accurate at the time of publishing. However, neither the Commission nor any of its employees make any express or implied representations or give any warranties regarding the material or facilities contained or referred to in this site, and we will not be liable to you:
- for any loss or damage whatsoever which may arise in any way out of the use of any of the material or facilities;
- for errors in or omissions from the material or facilities; or
- for the accuracy of any information obtained through use of this site.
Articles or reports by named authors express their views, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Commission for Financial Literacy and Retirement Income.
“My Sorted” lets you save the results from Sorted tools, and build a picture as your finances change over time. You can reload calculators with saved results, test out different situations, or set reminders to come back and check your Plan.
Any identifiable personal information saved in My Sorted is stored securely and will not be disclosed to any third parties. Aggregate demographic data on My Sorted users is assessed for reporting purposes from time to time. In this assessment all individuals remain anonymous.
On Sorted, users can comment on content. Our comment moderators will read what you write before it is published and by so doing may collect personal information regardless of whether you intend us to see it. You can post comments under an “anonymous” user name if you wish, but you must supply your email address (which will not be published).
You can use the Sorted website without supplying personal information, but some services won’t be available unless you supply a certain amount of personal information.
We use web measurement tools to tell us:
- how people are using Sorted
- what calculators they use, and
- which pages they read, and so forth.
From time to time we aggregate the information obtained in order to publish statistics.
Our web measurement tools cannot identify the individuals using the site. This means we can see a record of what people do on the site, but not who they are. So rest assured any personal information you save on Sorted is secure.
We may also use cookies for advertising purposes. Cookies are snippets of information that websites leave behind on your computer or handheld device. Sorted uses cookies to help advertisers and publishers serve and manage ads at other sites that you visit across the web. These cookies do not personally identify you, but they do allow advertising networks to recognise your web browser as the same unique (but anonymous) user whenever you visit other sites. These cookies are not used to collect any of your personal details, and none of the information collected from those cookies is ever merged with personal information such as your name, address or email address.
