Sorted turns 8

Sorted turns 8

Tagged with: Personal finance

Yes, it was 8 years ago today that sorted.org.nz was officially launched into the world with the catch-cry “When you want to get sorted on money matters use your mouse!”

Here’s a shot of the website as it looked a couple of months after launch in 2001:

And a few years later in 2004…

Funnily enough, the site has got bigger since those days but the mouse has got a LOT slimmer…

You can see more of how Sorted has changed over the years in the TV ads on our YouTube channel.

Big thanks from the current Sorted team to all our Sorted users and to everyone who has worked on Sorted over the years. Here’s to the next 8 years!

And by the way, the mouse never officially had a name (or a gender for that matter, although it did seem to have a male voice in the early TV ads).

Any suggestions?

i think it is a cute little mouse and it should have a name(maybe from the word sorted) like roste but not stuart.

Happy birthday!

8 years?! Wow - it seems like only yesterday 'the mouse' appeared on our screens/monitors...
Congratulations on your continued efforts showing Kiwis they can take ownership of their finances. May the (now fit and energetic looking!) mouse never get tired of passing on tips and techniques.
